The problem

Trust in the PH insurance market has no shared foundation.

There has been no public, neutral way to verify a Philippine insurance professional before working with them. These are the facts.

Consumers can't tell who's licensed

The Insurance Commission maintains a public roster of all licensed agents. Until now, there was no plain way for a consumer to search it without filing a formal inquiry.

“Verified” badges elsewhere are self-claimed

Most online directories let professionals post their own credentials. There is no independent cross-check against a regulatory source — and no audit trail if a license lapses.

No source-backed public record

ffide is built directly on the IC roster — every entry traces back to the regulator's own published document, with the date, row number, and PDF link. That's the difference.

How it works

Verified in three steps.

1
Sourced from the IC
We ingest the public Insurance Commission roster weekly — every name, license number, status, active company, and expiry date comes directly from the IC.
2
Cross-checked
Name, license number, status, companies, and expiry are matched against the registry on every import. If a license lapses or is delisted, the badge is removed automatically — no manual override.
3
IC-Listed
The professional earns the IC-Listed badge. Registry data is locked — never editable by the professional. You see exactly what the IC says, nothing more.
Trust primitives

What every ffide profile shows.

This is what you see on any IC-listed professional's profile — locked registry data, sourced directly from the Insurance Commission, never editable by the advisor.

IC-Listed

The IC-Listed badge

Appears only when the professional has at least one active license on the current Insurance Commission roster. If a license lapses or is delisted, the badge is removed automatically on the next weekly import — no manual override.

  • Removed automatically on license lapse
  • Sourced from the IC — not the advisor

Registry-sourced data

Name, license number, status, every active company, and expiry come from the public IC roster. The advisor cannot edit any of these fields.

Change history on record

Every license change — created, re-verified, expiry updated, delisted — is permanently logged. Never overwritten, never hidden.

IC is the authority

Every profile cites the exact source document date and links back to the Insurance Commission's own published roster. You can verify the verification.

The authority

IC-sourced. Independent. Can't be bought.

ffide's standing comes from the Insurance Commission, not from the advisor — and that distinction is load-bearing.

IC standing cannot be purchased

An advisor's IC-Listed badge is sourced from the regulator's own published roster — it does not exist in ffide's system until the IC publishes it. No payment, subscription, or request changes that.

Data is locked to the registry

Advisors can add a photo and bio to their claimed profile, but the IC registry fields — name, license number, status, company, and expiry date — are read-only. What you see is what the IC says.

Verified-client reviews (in progress)

Client reviews on ffide profiles are identity-verified by email OTP — only clients who have worked with the advisor can submit a review. There are no aggregate ratings displayed yet; reviews will surface as the verified-client pool grows. No fabricated stars, ever.
